Tridan STMC 4-Tube
General Information
The Tridan model STMC-4 Modutron Tube Straightener and Cut-To-Length Line with End Former is used to uncoil four level wound rolls of copper or aluminum tube, straighten it and cut it to a pre-determined length. This machine offers a positive length control hitch-type feed and utilizes an orbital chip-free cutoff system.
For production applications wherein the Model STMC-4 will be utilized to produce straight tubes with a Bell or flare on the tube end, it is recommended that the optional tube end forming system be applied.
The Tube End Former is located outboard from the cutoff head and the tension clamp. It is hydraulically powered and is controlled through the main push button panel. The tube ends are formed through a plunge-type internal sizing punch. The punch is machined for the exact form configuration required and by reaching the end of it’s adjustment stroke will simultaneously produce both bell and flare on the tube end.
