Simplex Roller Expander

General Information

Core seals in motor housings, cylinder heads and other cast parts are sealed using the widest variety of working methods. However, the most economical method is expansion or rolling in using the 'Simplex' roller expander.

Due to the gentle feeding during the rolling of the feed cap and the absolutely secure limitation of expansion, uneven material stresses in the housing are avoided as far as possible. Without additional aids – without sealing products or adhesives – there is a full guarantee of a perfect permanent seal.

The drive is usually performed by hand using a tap wrench – or a ratchet in places where access is difficult. No qualified skilled workers are required to operate the tool once setup has been performed. The roller expander is guided into the correctly seated sealing cap and turned to the right using a tap wrench applied to the square end of the spindle. The tool stops automatically when the final rolling set by the stop is reached. The tool is sold from nominal diameter 32 according to DIN 443.
