Tridan PB
General Information
The Tridan model PB Powered Tube Bender is a hydraulically powered single tube Multi-purpose utility-type bender. The PB was designed to bend heavy wall tubing Associated with the air conditioning and refrigeration industries.
The TRIDAN Model PB-2 Powered Tube Bender is a heavy-duty tube bender with all its tube bending functions hydraulically powered. It is designed for copper, aluminum, mild steel, and brass alloy tubing having outside diameters' between 5/16" (7.94mm) and 1-3/8"(34.9mm). The PB-2 bends one tube per cycle and is capable of producing multiple bends in the same tube with a minimum tangent length between successive bends.
The PB-2 is constructed on heavy-duty base plate, which is mounted on a sturdy structural steel base frame to
provide a convenient working height. The Bend Head and the adjustable Follower Block Retainer - Mandrel Rod
Support Weldment are mounted on this base plate. The Bend Head rotates on precision ball bearings and features a calibrated protractor with adjustable mechanical stops and settings for bend angles between 0 and 180 degrees. The Bend Head is rotated by a rugged chain and-sprocket drive, which is powered by a double-end 2.5"Diameter Bore, 1"Rod Diameter, 8"Stroke JIC Hydraulic Cylinder. The lower bend die retainer is fixed to
the bend head with the upper bend die retainer pivot mounted to retract vertically when activated. The adjustable clamping action of the upper bend die retainer is powered by a 1.5"Diameter Bore, 1"Rod Diameter, 2"Stroke JIC Hydraulic Cylinder. All pivot points of this clamping mechanism are fitted with sealed needle bearings to insure long life and to minimize maintenance. The Follower Block Retainer - Mandrel Rod Support Weldment is key-way mounted to base plate, and is adjustable for various tube diameters and bend radii.
