General Information

The Tridan Model CC-2SM Cross Feed Fin Collector is designed without a vacuum unit to allow the automatic collection of heat exchanger fins as they progress from the die. The motion of this collector is a swing-type and is activated manually.

Each of the collection arms are pivot mounted independently, but are chain-and-sprocket linked together. The linkage between the collection arms allows one arm to be indexed under the Vacuum Unit, while the second arm is swung outward to allow removal of the fins. The main advantages of this type of shuttle are a minimal space usage and lower cost; while the
disadvantages are a limited maximum fin length on the collector of 48"(1219mm) and removal of the fins from two different positions.
